About

My name is Ande Quercus and I am a disabled activist and advocate. My current focus is on encouraging more people to question the way they think about human behavior, especially children’s behavior.

I am a former “troubled teen” and a psychiatric survivor. I spent a significant portion of my teen years in residential behavior modification programs and psychiatric institutions.

I have been harmed by scientific approaches to explaining human behavior. I finally understand what happened to me, so I want to write about it.

Every characteristic I have is something I have in common with at least one other person. I hope that by writing about my own experiences, I can help others understand themselves or their loved ones a little better.
